Employees and students can setup an app on a mobile device to send and receive email from Exchange.  The following settings are specific to setting up the native Mail app on iOS version 10.2, but the steps should be similar on all Apple iPhones and iPads.  If after completing these instructions and you are still having trouble, click here for additional troubleshooting steps.  


Open Settings>Mail>Accounts>Add Account.

Choose Exchange. 





Enter in your email address, password, and a description in the appropriate fields.




Choose your preferences on what type of items to sync.



The following step is optional.


Open Settings>Mail>Accounts>Name of your Account

Set your days to sync preference and turn on an automatic reply if desired.  

An automatic reply will automatically send a reply email to anyone who sends you an email.  It can be useful if you know there will be a period of time when you won't be checking your email account.  It should not be left on indefinitely.
