Utilizing Office365 in a Canvas Course


Record & Share a Video Using OneDrive

This video will walk you through how to utilize one drive to share student created videos inside your Canvas course.



Walkthrough-

  • iPhone/iPad/Android instructions:
    1. Open your App Store and download Microsoft OneDrive
    2. Open the OneDrive App
    3. Login using your OBU email address and password
    4. At the top right corner, hit the button and click Take a photo or video
    5. Change to video mode and setup your video however you want, then record your video
    6. Once you are finished, hit Use Video in the bottom right corner
    7. Find your video from your list of OneDrive Files. Rename it if you want by clicking the three-dot icon at the top right corner and selecting Rename this file from the list of options.
    8. From your PC or Mac, go to your Canvas course and find the assignment/module/page/announcement or page where you want to post the video
    9. Click Edit and from the Rich Content Editor, click the red Office 365 icon right above the description box
    10. Scroll down to the file upload section and select Office 365.
    11. If needed, sign on using your OBU email credentials
    12. Find your video, select it, and click Attach File
    13. After editing any other settings you wish, scroll to the bottom of your screen and Save
  • PC/Mac Instructions:
    1. Record your video using Quicktime, Windows Movie Player, etc.
    2. Once your video is recorded, go to www.office.com and login using your OBU email credentials
    3. From the home screen, select OneDrive
    4. Click Upload at the top and select Files
    5. Navigate to the video file from the list of options on your computer, select the video you want to upload, and click Open
    6. Once the video is uploaded you will see it in your list of OneDrive files.
    7. Go to your Canvas course and find the assignment/module/page/announcement where you want to post the video
    8. Click Edit and from the Rich Content Editor, click the red Office 365 icon right above the description box
    9. Scroll down to the file upload section and select Office 365.
    10. If needed, sign on using your OBU email credentials
    11. Find your video, select it, and click Attach File
    12. After editing any other settings you wish, scroll to the bottom of your screen and Save
